Clay Pot Pork Rib Rice (砂锅排骨饭) Illustration

This illustration features a dish that my mom created just for me: 砂锅排骨饭, or braised pork ribs served over rice, napa cabbage, and apples, in a clay pot. The dish is delicious, sweet (thanks to the apples at the bottom, which stop the rice or cabbage from burning) and savory. Filled with many delicate flavors, it is one of my favorite dishes to this day.
